Spool Deluxe by Tolhuijs is a copper hanging lamp made from an old coil. The coil was once part of a welding machine. Amsterdam designer Bastiaan Tolhuijs gives waste a second life and does this by offering work to people from Panter, the sheltered workplace of Amsterdam, and detainees. They gain work experience, which promotes the reintegration process.
